The Pilot
Here's exactly what $50,000 builds.
One piece of equipment. Raw materials, logistics, and the operational foundation to build the first home. Every dollar is accounted for.
A $50,000 pilot to prove the model.
We're raising $50,000 to purchase brick-making equipment and cover the raw materials, logistics, house construction materials, and 501(c)(3) staff and operations needed to complete the first pilot home. Here's exactly where it goes.
01
Brick-Making Equipment
$12,000
Hydraulic press molds and curing infrastructure to compress processed sargassum into load-bearing bricks. The output of this stage is a finished, testable building block ready for construction.
- Hydraulic brick press
- Curing molds and forms
- Quality testing tools
02
Raw Materials & Logistics
$20,000
Sargassum collection supplies, transportation, processing inputs, and site logistics to move material from the Bávaro–Punta Cana coastline through the full production chain.
- Collection and transport supplies
- Processing inputs and treatments
- Site logistics and staging
03
Construction & Operations
$18,000
House construction materials, foundation and finishing costs, and 501(c)(3) staff and operational expenses required to execute the pilot from first harvest to finished home.
- House construction materials
- Foundation and finishing costs
- 501(c)(3) staff and operations
From first dollar to first home.
Month 1–2
Equipment Procurement
Source and purchase the brick-making equipment. Begin logistics and site preparation in the Dominican Republic.
Month 3
First Harvest
Deploy collection gear on the Bávaro–Punta Cana coastline. Begin gathering and transporting raw sargassum to the processing site.
Month 4
Processing & Brick Production
Run sargassum through the full processing chain. Produce the first test bricks and evaluate structural integrity.
Month 5–6
Build the First Home
Use pilot bricks to construct the first sargassum home for a family in need. Document every step for replication.
Built on honest foundations.
We're an early-stage organization. We don't have formal institutional partners yet — but we're actively building relationships with construction engineers, environmental scientists, and community organizations in the Dominican Republic.

Be part of the pilot.
Every contribution moves us closer to the first harvest, the first brick, and the first family with a home built from the ocean.
